In the 2019 RfC, there was clear consensus to deprecate One America News Network as a source à la the Daily Mail. Editors noted that One America News Network published a number of falsehoods, conspiracy theories, and intentionally misleading stories. One America News Network should not be used, ever, as a reference for facts, due to its unreliability. It can still be used as a primary source when attributing opinions, viewpoints, and commentary, meaning that it should not be used as a source outside of its own article.
One America News Network (OANN), also known as One America News (OAN), is a far-right[1] news and political commentary television channel and website founded by Robert Herring Sr. and owned by Herring Networks, Inc., that launched on July 4, 2013.[2] The network is headquartered in San Diego, California, and operates news bureaus in Washington, D.C., and New York City.
