There is consensus that Al Arabiya is a usable source for topics unrelated to the Saudi Arabian government. As it is state-owned by Saudi government since 2018 and is published in a country with low press freedom, editors consider Al Arabiya biased and non-independent for Saudi Arabian politics, and recommend attribution and use amongst other sources to maintain NPOV for coverage in this area. Some editors consider Al Arabiya unreliable for matters related to Saudi geopolitical interests.
